To the origin of the National Ballet in France
Abstract
The article is devoted to European musical and theatrical forms of the 15 and 16th centuries, which have preceded the birth of the first ballet performance in France - «The Queen’s Comedy Ballet». The author studies the origin of the ballet as a specific kind of the national French theater influenced by some Italian and proper French artistic (vis. dance, theater, poetry) traditions.
