Information and communications coverage cultural events of St. Petersburg in the field of choreography (for example, printed mass media)

Abstract

The study addresses the issue of coexistence of the classical art forms and the peculiarities of their perception by the mass media audience. The article presents the research results of specific features of information-communication coverage of cultural events in St. Petersburg daily newspapers. It formulates special features of different types of communication tools and their importance for the professional and mass community. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of St. Petersburg ballet media coverage (theme, genre and stylistic originality) reveals the main features, limitations and prospects of development of choreographic art information and communication support.
