Автор показывает, как при помощи специфической структуры словарей в них закрепляется историко-практическое и теоретическое знание о балетном искусстве. Демонстрируется связь между изменением принципов отбора фактов в словарях разных периодов и этапами состояния мысли о балете. Рассматривая способы организации теоретических понятий в словарях. Автор делает вывод о том, что классифицирование материала в словарях способствовало созданию системы балетных терминов и понятий.  </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article is devoted to the role of theatre dictionaries of the 18th century pub­lished in France in development of history and theory of ballet. The author shows how the structure of the dictionaries allows reinforcing theoretical knowledge along with historical and practical information about ballet art. It is demonstrated on the base of the dictionaries substance analysis how changing in principles of selection of the facts in dictionaries of different periods reflects changing of phases of thought of ballet.
